I wanted to try a I5-4690K, because I wanted to try overclocking something when i'll feel like the PC will need more Kicks. This being said, while lurking in this mighty forum, I've found a build that pretty much suits my needs (I think the parts were picked by Sam Z man?) : One monitor, and it's enough for me, although I multitask a lot, so I might want to try something else some time in the future, but for now, it's perfectly fine! Music recording/editing : Again, not composing/recording a lot, but my system limits me a lot, many stutters and frustration! Video editing : I'm not heavily editing, my current rig (INTEL Core 2 Q8200 3 GB of usable RAM and an Asus GTS 450.) does it ok, so I guess anything better than that will fullfill my needs, although softwares like CS6 are pretty demanding, so i'll need your input on that! Besides that, I enjoy games that are clearly less demanding than these two so, no problem.

Gaming : I rarely buy recent games, but my goal this year would be to be able to play Witcher 3, high/ultra settings, 60 FPS at 1080p and Fallout 4, probably moded, high/ultra settings, 60 FPS at 1080p (I know it's not out yet, i'm just stating my goals, although I know it's hard to know how my build will react to that game). I'll use this PC for many things, but the most specific things would be : So let's start with the suggested template : Anyway, since that time, I watched a lot of videos to try to « understand » this magnificient invention and now I feel like I know enough to build one. My wait paid off, and I saved enough to invest into a SSD.At the very beginning of this summer, I started thinking about building a computer, since mine had trouble running some old games (like Dragon age Origins, Dark souls I, II) and started crashing from time to time (although it seems that the problem comes from an Nvidia Driver.). Newegg has these on special almost every other email. Other Thoughts: If you're in the market for a monitor, or several, and have time to spare, hold off on these. No vertical adjustment, 3 in Eyefinity borderline overkill, lame speakers, condemned to eating noodles for the next month, but who cares? I certainly don't, neither should you! Bought another one, but need a bigger desk or triple monitor stand.what in the world is going on here?!? Purchased two of these for Eyefinity, but old Ultrasharp became sub par.

Purchased a 1100w PSU, but was charmed by an Eyefinity setup. Purchased a bigger case, but needed a PSU with longer P1. Cheap, large, familiar name, bright, runs cooler than my old Ultrasharp, no dead pixels, VESA ready, what more could a gamer ask for?Ĭons: Upgraded to 6950, but needed a bigger case.

Pros: Got these at a steal with free shipping. Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Refurbished It would be nice for the speakers to be a little bit better but not a deal breaker. I can use pc card speakers that have more punch to them. The video quality is very good for me and the 23.5" display doesn't hurt either. Just little mini me quality but I didn't purchase it just for the speakers but also the digital quality output. The only fall back is the speakers are not that great. A little cumbersome to get to but not that Important to cry about. I like the fact that the cables are inserted from the bottom and not from the back. It has a good stand and swivels easier that other monitors I've bought. Up close the video seems a little grainy but look past that with hd TV's its about the same and just as good. All the features are good as I can expect being it's the first higher end monitor I've purchased. It's a nice monitor and is with a lot of things it takes has a learning curve to it's figured out.
